Twas Two Weeks before Christmas and all through the house...

There was lots to be doing..
a tree needing trimming

ideas for a new tree topper..

a safer solution was found

Christmas eve brought another Birthday to our B'n...happy 26th

Some of her gifts were chic and stylish...

others were practical and sturdy.

And on Christmas morning there was a special "doggie" cane for the "boo".

Santa brought housecoats and

indestructable rock lights and

unique mats for the front or back door and

we got a Wii and
he even remembered a towel or two...

Thanks for the great year...now off to warmer temperatures to welcome 2010!

New Homeowners!

Well, it's official. Our B'n & her music man are the proud owners of a new home in the west end of the city. Congratulations !

# F1597

On Sunday Oct 4th, our runner B'n and her supporters, Mom, Dad & the music man set off from our hotel in Minneapolis at 6:00 a.m., heading for the starting line. The adrenaline was flowing, the excitement rising and the number of participants and spectators were growing. The gun went off at 8:00 a.m. and that was literally the last time we spectators saw our B'n. She made 18 miles (Yahoo!!!) and then experienced severe pain in her right leg and numbness in her right foot. Her dream of completing a marathon had to left for another day.......................but those of us who love her will be there next time....Bravo #F1597.

Short and sweet visits with our Eastern Relations.

While attending a conference in Niagara Falls, Brian and I managed to squeeze in a couple of visits.
Christine, Mike and Twila showed us their favorite nature walk.
A happy girl waiting for her breakfast at Cora's.
Lots of smiles and giggles in St. Thomas...those two girls definitely kept us busy for a few hours.
Caitlyn's brand new BIG bed....lots of room for sleepovers!

And of course, we then needed to see Hannah's room.

But eventually, it's time to go and let these two cuties get some shut eye. 6:00 a.m. is not too far away. Thanks for the nice visit.

Post July 12th !

Such busy lives...no time to even update the blog until today.

New siding on both the east and west walls was one of the projects this year.

And naturally, new wood means.....................

More staining.................

Thank you Jennifer for all your hard work...you too Patrick!

Tyler & Jackie and A. Cathy were a few of the first guests this year . The water was definitely brrrrrrr quality even if it was July.

The next project was moving the jacuzzi from the boathouse up the hill to cottage level.

Heave ho....guys.

It's in...it works ...and it's mouseless!

Grandpa and I were very fortunate to have almost all the grandchildren visit us.

Dylan, Ty, Paige, Grandpa and Noah.

Noah remembered Patrick's lessons on snorkeling.....

Grandpa was kept very busy inflating the inflatables , driving the boat and starting the bonfires!

We all enjoyed hiking near the riding stables.

Paige managed to get up on Erin's wakeboard....

Then she topped that with swimming to the island....

And no visit would be complete without tubing...Grandpa style...

Noah got in on the fun and the challenge was on....

Dylan had a good time and managed to stay on the tube despite Grandpa's attempts at dunking him.

Baxter Boo felt left out.... so

Jennifer took him for a swim....

Yes, that's me on the kayak but I am not posting the pictures of my exiting this craft....(for my eyes only)

This pictures says it all, " bye for another year"
